Hello! I’m Tara Lindsay, the heart and hands behind Wags to Whiskers. With a lifelong passion for animals and experience looking after even the most challenging of pets I am particularly interested in Cat behaviour as well as Dogs, with experience of Giant breed cats and dogs right through to the kittens and puppies… but I love all pets….from the cheeky to the chilled!
I’ve turned my passion for championing mental health in Children and Adults to a career in animal care, and it was the best decision! To some it is dog walking or cat sittimg…to me, I provide quality walks, cuddles, play and continued care in safe and assessed environments to enrich the experience and, often, confidence of your beloved pet.
I dedicate my career to ensuring your pets receive the love, attention and expert care they deserve and that you should demand. My journey began with a simple love for animals with a deep commitment to their well being. From a very young age I was the one who would save a bird, a cat or a dog and even at times a slug….I know!
I’ve helped pets of all shapes, sizes and personalities and I believe in treating each one as if they were my own. Whether it’s a playful pup or a shy kitten, I understand that every furry family member is unique and I tailor my care to meet their needs.
I do feel strongly that caring for animals is a privilege, personally and professionally, and we should share knowledge and experience as a community therefore offer our blog page, inviting a variety of professional resources and members of the community to share information from experiences of being a pet parent to discussions on separation anxiety and how to avoid heatstroke…and more!
Although much of the activity at Wags to Whiskers is with dogs, I adore cats, a lifelong cat and dog rescuer and love to provide enriching activity, play and lots of cuddles for the feline contingent!
Cats can really benefit from extra support when you’re not at home…the good thing is that I’m not at all phased by a spicy cat…I have one of my own!
